Did you finish this one? It looks good! As a school system, we're reading a book (that I left at school...eek!) about middle schoolers. Now of course the name escapes me! But it's good. It's not the same ole, same ole. I'm curious about this one you've posted.

Hi Tammy! Yes, I finished it. It is specifically geared to new teachers and covers a lot of basics on classroom management, dealing with parents, admin, etc. I thought it was a good refresher and I did get some new ideas from it too.

I thought of you when I saw a book about teaching resources (I guess it's just a guide to where to find things - not sure) in the 99 cent children's books at Book Closeouts. And, then I thought about you-know-who and decided he probably won't be teaching for long if he talks back when evaluated and moved on. LOL

I'm applying to be a special ed assistant at the middle school, so this looks like it may be worth reading for me.

That is great, Christine! Yes, I think it would be a good book. Quick read, but is good for knowing how to deal with middle schoolers and their unique needs and thought processes. They are an interesting breed to be sure.

Best of luck! You will be great!

I probably won't get the position...too many applying that are already in district, but it's worth a try. This book would be good for me anyway since BJ is starting middle school (yikes).

Wow! How could my future SIL be in middle school already???? There are usually tons of aide positions, so keep looking. And they usually don't post them until August.
