Virgin River book 2

Shelter Mountain by Robyn Carr

In this book, Preacher (John) meets a young mother in need one night when she stumbles into the bar after all of the customers have gone. Paige and her young son, Christopher, are on the run from a very abusive and dangerous husband/father. Preacher wants to protect them, but they quickly become enmeshed in each others lives.

This is the second Virgin River book. I love this series. I was happy to see Mel, Doc, Jack, and the others back in this book, as well as appearances from the Grace Valley gang.
