In the fourth installment of the Truth series, Regan Landry is compelled to research and possibly write the book, of an accused murderer on death row who is let out of prison after it comes out that the DNA evidence on which he was convicted, was botched. Lester Ray is released and thrilled at the prospect of becoming famous through one of Regan's best selling true crime novels. While beginning her research, Regan never really questions Lester Ray's innocence until more bodies begin to surface, bodies of those killed exactly like the woman Lester Ray was convicted of killing.
