Shelter Mountain by Robyn CarrIn this book, Preacher (John) meets a young mother in need one night when she stumbles into the bar after all of the customers have gone. Paige and her young son, Christopher, are on the run from a very abusive and dangerous husband/father. Preacher wants to protect them, but they quickly become enmeshed in each others lives.
This is the second Virgin River book. I love this series. I was happy to see Mel, Doc, Jack, and the others back in this book, as well as appearances from the Grace Valley gang.

I LOVE the cover on this!!! This is a series that I have not read yet, but truly hope to do so someday!
This series is REALLY good. But, read the Grace Valley trilogy first because the characters reappear in this series. Grace Valley series was really good too!!
